Profile: I am MATHIAS RINGA, 50, a Kenyan travel writer based in Mombasa, Kenya. I started travel writing when I joined the Standard Group as a Correspondent in 1996. I left Standard Group in August 2007 for Nation Media Group, where my writing career blossomed. At Nation, I have been writing for both Daily Nation and Business Daily. Last year, I joined a South African media company, Now Media, as a correspondent for the East African region, contributing travel stories to the Daily Southern African Tourism Update.
